About Us

Lilja Katanka is a qualified TCM Acupuncture practitioner having studied for 4 years at Westminster University, London, and XiYuan hospital in Beijing. Her training included theory and practice in Acupuncture, Tui Na (Chinese Massage therapy) Moxibustion and Cupping.  She has also trained in Traditional Thai Massage in Wat Po, Bangkok, and is qualified in Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture, having studied under Virginia Doran.  She has also been clinical teaching assistant on this course. Lilja has also completed courses in Acupuncture for Sports Injuries and Musculo-skeletal problems, Acupuncture for the Eyes, Kiiko Matsumoto style Japanese Acupuncture, and the Treatment of Lingering Pathogens using TCM and Acupuncture. Anne-Marie Fouché also studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at Westminster University. She has since completed placements at the NHS Gateway Clinic treating patients referred by their GPs for a variety of conditions; and at Hoxton Health Group, a charity providing affordable acupuncture to local residents aged 60 and above. She also works as a locum for the Hands Inc Community Acupuncture Project in Hackney that provides treatment for the over 60's, those on benefits, those with long-term ill health, refugee and asylum seekers and victims of domestic violence. Anne-Marie is certified to practice Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture, having studied under world renowned expert - Virginia Doran, and currently oganises and clinically assists with Virginia's UK workshops. She has also completed post-qualification training in the treatment of musculo-skeletal conditions, post-stroke rehabilitation and treating sports injuries with acupuncture. She is qualified in on-site acupressure massage and has completed courses in Reiki healing. Prior to her acupuncture training, Anne-Marie studied for a degree in Sociology and has worked for 9 years managing training and events for the Financial Times and Legal Action Group. She still currently holds the post of Business Development Manager at Legal Action Group, a charity that campaigns for equality, justice and human rights.

Practitioners at Tian Garden Acupuncture are fully insured and accredited by the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC)- and have trained to degree level in Acupuncture and related therapies (including cupping, electro acupuncture and moxibustion therapy).  All BAcC members are bound by strict codes of conduct regarding confidentiality and professionalism, and practice safe and sterile needle procedure, always using single use, disposable needles.  Practitioners are also well versed in conventional medicine, anatomy, physiology and differential diagnosis and are keen to be inclusive and down-to-earth with their treatments.A fan showing his appreciation
